ABCmouse Premium subscribers now have access to an Offline Mode featuring a selection of ABCmouse learning videos and games that can be enjoyed while you're not connected. This article will let you know what to expect and offer tips for a more seamless offline experience.
Basic users will need to upgrade to Premium to take advantage of offline content and other Premium-only features.
Recommendations:
Prepare: To ensure Offline Mode is fully enabled, simply log into the ABCmouse app on the device you are going to use offline while it is connected to a stable wi-fi network. Keep the app open and connected for at least 5 minutes, so that the offline videos can games can download to your device in the background. Your child can play during this time.
Test: After at least 5 minutes, test Offline Mode to confirm it is working: Disconnect from all wi-fi and turn on Airplane Mode if your device has a cellular connection. Click on any activity in the app and you should see the ABCmouse Downloaded Videos screen (shown below). This is your offline content!
Use online whenever possible: For the best overall ABCmouse experience, we still recommend you use a stable Wi-Fi or cellular data connection for ABCmouse whenever it's available.

What Premium Subscribers Will See When Offline
If you're an ABCmouse Premium subscriber and your device is not connected to the internet, you can expect to see the following when opening the ABCmouse app or clicking on activities:
A Downloaded Videos screen will alert you: "You're currently offline - no problem! Enjoy some learning videos while you reconnect!"
Click any of the videos or games displayed to keep learning while offline.

A blue Reload button will appear so you can refresh the app once your connection is restored.
You may also see this device pop-up message: "Cellular Data is turned off. Turn on cellular data or use Wi-Fi to access data." You can choose Settings to update your connection to cellular data (if available) or click OK to dismiss the message and continue to use ABCmouse with Offline Mode.
These messages mean your device is not currently online, and ABCmouse cannot load all its regular activities until a connection is restored--with the exception of Offline Mode videos for ABCmouse Premium subscribers.
What ABCmouse Basic Users Will See When Offline
In-app offline message: "Oops! Looks like you're offline." You will be alerted that you are offline and that offline videos are only available for Premium subscribers.
In-app online message: You will be alerted that you are back online and reminded that you can upgrade to Premium to unlock offline content and other Premium-only features of ABCmouse. Click the "Try it Free" button for a FREE 30 day trial of Premium membership.
Good to Know
ABCmouse Premium now supports Offline Mode for video and game content. Currently, there are 20 videos and 3 of our most popular games available offline.
ABCmouse Basic users can upgrade to Premium to unlock Offline Mode and other Premium-only features and benefits.
There is no Offline Mode section, button, or menu; it is something that you will see when you try to use the app when it is not connected.
To enable Online Mode, you need to log in to the ABCmouse app while it is on a stable wi-fi or cellular connection for at least 5 minutes at some point before you are going to use it offline. This is to ensure offline videos and games have been downloaded.
Before you go on a trip where you might not have an internet connection, make sure the app has been open and connected to your wi-fi at home and then test the app by turning off wi-fi and cellular data (go on Airplane Mode) and clicking any activity.
