If you signed up for your ABCmouse membership directly on our ABCmouse.com website using a credit card, PayPal, or Apple Pay and have been billed directly by Age of Learning (rather than an app store), you can easily cancel your ABCmouse subscription by following the steps below within the ABCmouse app.
If you have a monthly subscription, you also have the option to Pause rather than Cancel your account.

Once cancellation is complete, a confirmation email will be sent to you. If you’re redirected to the homepage without seeing a confirmation message, simply check your email to verify that your cancellation went through.

If you use your ABCmouse Classic account credentials to access ABCmouse:
You’ll need to cancel your ABCmouse Classic account, not ABCmouse.
Steps to Cancel Directly

Open the ABCmouse app and log in if needed.
- Click on the Avatar/profile icon in the upper-left corner.
- Click on Settings in the lower-left corner (you may be prompted to enter your birth year or password).
- Select Manage My Account.
- On the Membership Details page, select the Cancel Membership button at the bottom of your screen and follow the prompts to complete your cancellation.
If you have a monthly subscription billed directly by us to your credit card, you should see the option to pause your billing for 1, 2, or 3 months. Click the Pause Membership button and choose the timeframe you want.
After clicking Cancel Membership, we will ask you to help us improve our services by selecting one of the boxes that best represents why you wish to cancel, then select Continue to Cancel.
You'll get one last reminder of benefits that you will lose after you cancel and your prepaid term expires.
- Click Keep Learning if you want to keep your ABCmouse account.
- Click Yes, Cancel My Membership to complete your cancellation.
You will see a confirmation that your membership is successfully canceled and a reminder of any remaining time you have left to access ABCmouse. You will also see an offer for your child to move up to our Adventure Academy program for kids ages 8 to 13.
Note: Accessing ABCmouse after you have received this confirmation until the date listed on the confirmation will not affect your cancellation status.
Important Information
- After you cancel, you can continue to use ABCmouse for the remainder of the billing period you’ve already paid for.
- Your subscription will not renew once it expires, but you can re-subscribe at any time.
- Cancellation does not issue a refund, and previously charged subscription fees cannot be prorated.
- Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
- You can reactivate your membership any time after your access expires by logging in and resubscribing.
