Are you experiencing slow loading, freezing, or connection issues while using ABCmouse? This guide provides step-by-step solutions to resolve common performance problems—whether you're using a computer, tablet, or mobile device.

These steps address:

• Stuck screens (Welcome, blank white/yellow/blue)

• Buffering or freezing videos/games

• Generic app load errors

• Connection errors

• Low-quality visuals or audio

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Fully Close the ABCmouse App
   Exit the ABCmouse app completely and close any other apps or programs running in the background. Then reopen the app.

2. Perform a Power Cycle
   Turn off your device—and if applicable, your modem and router. Wait one full minute, then power everything back on.

3. Check Your Internet Connection
   Run a speed test on your device. We recommend a minimum download speed of 16.0 Mbps for the best experience with our adaptive features.

4. Improve Your Connection
   If your speed is low or unstable, try moving closer to your router, switching from Wi-Fi to Ethernet, or limiting background internet usage.

5. Test Other Apps or Programs
   Try using other apps or websites on the same device. If they also load slowly or freeze, your internet connection may be the cause. Contact your internet service provider for support.

6. Check for App and System Updates
   Make sure your device and the ABCmouse app are up to date. Visit your device’s App Store and Settings to install any available updates.

7. Clear Cache and App Data
   On most devices, you can clear temporary files through the Settings > Apps > ABCmouse > Storage menu. This can free up space and improve performance.

8. Uninstall and Reinstall the ABCmouse App
   Removing and reinstalling the app can resolve lingering loading issues. Be sure to reinstall from your device’s official app store.

Note About Touchscreen Windows Devices

ABCmouse is not officially supported on Windows touchscreen devices, including:

• Touchscreen laptops or desktops

• 2-in-1 laptop/tablet combos

• Windows-based tablets

While the app may run on these devices, performance issues are common and unfortunately cannot be fully resolved at this time.
