We understand the screen time dilemma that parents face. The good news is that ABCmouse makes learning safe, simple, fun, and effective, with proven results and engaging activities, so parents spend less time worrying about screen time and more time watching their child grow.
Some parents may still want to limit their child's time on ABCmouse Classic, and the program makes that easy to do. Setting a time limit can motivate your child to remain focused while being self-sufficient with their allotted time.
Studies have shown that as little as 45 minutes a week on ABCmouse Classic can make a significant increase in children's overall learning outcomes.
We encourage you and your child to spend 15 to 20 minutes a day using ABCmouse Classic together until you feel they are ready to utilize ABCmouse Classic independently.
Here's how simple it is to set a time limit for your child in ABCmouse Classic:
How to Adjust the Time Limit
- Select the Gear icon at the top of your screen.
- Select the Parent Section icon at the right-side of your screen.
- On the Parent Home page, Select the Settings panel.
- Select the Child Profile you wish to adjust to view their settings.
- Select the Permissions category.
- Select the Time Limit option.
- Use the hour and minute display to adjust the amount of time your child will be allowed to access the site or app.
Once the timer runs out, your child will no longer be able to use ABCmouse Classic until the next day.
