Pet Town in ABCmouse 2 is an interactive area where children can adopt, care for, and customize virtual pets. Designed to promote creativity, storytelling, and imaginative play, Pet Town encourages early learning skills through exploration and fun.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to get started, unlock new items, and use Pet Town’s interactive features.
Navigating to Pet Town
- From the ABCmouse 2 home screen, click on My World in the upper-right.
- From My World, scroll to the right and click on Pet Town.
Choosing Your First Pet

On your first visit, you’ll be prompted to adopt a pet.. Good news—you don't need any tickets to adopt your first pet!

Select the pet you want and confirm with the green checkmark.

Drag your pet from the My Stuff area into the Pet Town park.
- You can click on your pet to hear it make noises, or click and drag to see it explore the park area and items that are around.

Pets are happy living in Pet Town, so it will probably want to celebrate. If you see a "thought bubble" over its head showing an item, click on that item.

Now it's time for your Pet to let loose and dance!
Dressing Room
- Drag your pet to the backpack to enter the Dressing Room to pick out some new clothes, hats, and glasses.
- Choose from clothes, hats, and glasses to personalize your pet; more outfits become available as your child purchases them with tickets.
Exploring Pet Town
- Use the zoom in/out arrows in the lower-left to change your view.
- Click on your pet’s thought bubbles for special interactions.
Shopping
- Shopping in Pet Town requires tickets. Earn 3 tickets per activity completed in ABCmouse 2

Tap the shop icon (upper-right) to buy pets, toys, clothes, and more.
- Click the category icons along the top of the screen to shop for:

Pets

Toys, sports, and cooking items

Party goods, snacks, and surprises

Clothes and costumes

If you have enough tickets, tap the item you want and confirm your purchase.
Note about Special Treats: Purchased treats can be used with pets, but they disappear after use.
Tip: Sometimes your pet will show a thought bubble with an item it wants—you will always have enough tickets to purchase it.
Backpack
- Whenever you want to play with some new items, click on your backpack in the lower-right corner.
- Your blue backpack will open and you will see your inventory, a storage area for all My Stuff. If you have more than one pet, others can be moved into inventory when not in use.
Pet Town Hospital
- If you think your pet needs some care, or if you'd like to help take care of some other pets, click on the Pet Hospital in the upper-left.
- Click any pet you would like to help.
- Watch for an ambulance animation as part of the play experience.
- Then you will be asked to assist with tasks like bandaging, cleaning cuts, or other simple treatments.
