ABCmouse 2 offers two Learning Paths—one for Reading and one for Maths. Having separate Learning Paths helps children focus on skills in each subject and allows parents to set different grade levels based on their child’s needs. This ensures a more personalised learning experience, even if your child is stronger in one subject than another.
How to Get Started
-
Open the ABCmouse 2 app.
-
Select the My Learning Path tile at the bottom of the home screen.
-
Choose either the Reading Learning Path or the Maths Learning Path to begin.
How to Check or Change Your Learning Path Settings
-
On the My Learning Paths screen, tap the Settings button (top-right).
- From the drop-down menus, choose a grade level for Reading and Maths.
- Grade levels can be set independently, so you can match your child’s skill level in each subject. Many children are more advanced in one subject than the other, so having independent grade level controls allows for a more personalised and effective learning experience that honours the whole child.
- Select OK to confirm. (Note: Changing a grade level resets that Learning Path’s progress.)
Learning Path Overview
-
Each Learning Path begins at Level 1, tailored to the grade level you select. (For example, Level 1 in Pre-K looks different from Level 1 in Year 1.)
-
Children progress through Adventures (lesson units), which include themed activities such as Decode Common Word Families or Health Habits.
-
Each Adventure contains a sequence of activities followed by a Show What You Know quiz to reinforce learning.
-
Progress is tracked visually as your child moves dot-to-dot across the Adventure path, shown by the yellow and red circle at the top of the screen.
