At this time, the video of reading stories of Miracle and Nano has been removed.
However, ABCmouse offers a variety of reading experiences to meet the needs and preferences of different players.
Structured Learning
The Learning Path includes reading and language activities interspersed with other content areas to create a broad learning experience that includes literacy, math, science, social studies, and art. Following the Learning Path is the best way to have a guided, step-by-step experience.
Targeted Learning
In Basics, players can find foundational Reading content, including sounds and letters, word families, and sight words. Travel there from the ABCmouse Map.
From the Classroom, players can choose Reading to find books, games, puzzles, art, and music all focused on reading and literacy skills. Be sure to set the appropriate level at the top of the screen to limit the breadth of choices.
Reading Practice
The Library provides rich reading experiences organized by reading level and by topic. The key is to use the settings to focus the player’s attention on reading experiences that are appropriate for their level. Families can set the level based on the player’s ABCmouse level, or use Guided Reading Levels or Lexile Levels. Families can also search for Stepped Readers to find books crafted especially for young readers.
Lastly, listening to models of fluent "read alouds" is important at every stage of reading. To listen to books read aloud search for the video series Storytime with Miracle from the Student Homepage or visit the Library and choose any book with the blue and white read-to-me icon.
