The Assessment Center is a separate subscription you can purchase to see more in-depth scope on the progress being made by each of your children. This tool gives you the ability to issue tests to discover the strengths and learning opportunities and assign activities that will improve their understanding of weaker subjects.
If you have subscribed to the Assessment Center, simply click on the Gear icon in the upper-right corner of the child Homepage and select Assessments (note: The Assessment Center is not accessible from a cell phone).
On the Assessments page, you can choose a Child Profile from the drop-down menu in the upper-left corner. After you have selected a profile, select the Assessments tab at the top of the screen.
You may select a specific Learning Level for the Assessment by clicking the blue arrow beside Preschool, Kindergarten, or First Grade Readiness. You will then be given the option to choose between taking the longer Assessment (which can take around 35 minutes to complete) or the shorter Individual Skills Assessments. To begin taking an Assessment Test, simply click the blue Start icon beside the specific Assessment you would like your child to take.
Once you have completed an Assessment test, the system will suggest learning activities based on the results of the test. These recommended activities can provide more practice in areas where your child may be struggling. Choose any activities you’d like for your child from the Results and Recommendations tab.
Activities you choose from the Results and Recommendations tab will be found on your child’s About Me page under My Lessons.
