Yes! Children can customize their avatar’s hair, facial features, clothing, and accessories in the Avatar Customization section. Changes can be made at any time using ABCmouse Tickets earned through activities. This article explains how to personalize an avatar’s appearance.
The My Avatar interface includes many default options for hair, eyes, nose, mouth, and skin tone. Any other options can be purchased in the Shopping Center or earned by completing Lessons on the Learning Path.
Special hairstyles for an Avatar can be purchased in the Shopping Center or earned from completing Lessons on the Learning Path.
The Shopping Center can be found on the Map page and is linked on the Change My Avatar page. Clothes, accessories, and features can be purchased with Tickets in the shops. Items that are earned or bought will be sent to the inventory on the My Avatar page.
Can I change the hair for my child's Avatar?
To change the hair for your child's Avatar, please follow these instructions:
- Select the Avatar you would like to edit.
- If you need to change users, select the name at the top to do so.
- Select About Me.
- Click/tap the My Avatar icon.
- Select the Features option at the top of the page.
- Select a Hair type. You'll then be able to select a different type of hairstyle.
If no hair options are shown here, select Go Shopping at the bottom of the page. This will take you to the mall to purchase some hairstyles. All of our hairstyles and hair colors are now available without Tickets.
