How do I check for app and system updates?

We recommend that you regularly check for any updates available for ABCmouse and your device. This ensures that you’re receiving all the latest features, improvements, and bug fixes.

For steps on how to check for updates, select the device you’re using from below:

• Android Phones and Tablets
• Fire Tablets
• iPhones and iPads
• Desktops

Android Phones and Tablets

To check for an ABCmouse update, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the Google Play Store.
2. Select Menu.
   • This icon is pictured as three lines.
3. Select My apps & games.
4. Tap ABCmouse.
5. Press Update next to the app.

To check for a system update, please follow the steps below:

1. Open your device’s Settings app.
2. Near the bottom, tap System.
3. Select Advanced (or About phone).
4. Select System Update.

Fire Tablets

To check for an ABCmouse update, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Home screen on your tablet.
2. At top of your toolbar, select Apps.
3. Tap on Store, which is found at the top right side of the screen.
4. At the bottom of your screen, select the Menu icon.
   • This icon is pictured as three lines.
5. Choose App Updates from the Menu list.
6. Select the ABCmouse app.
7. Tap Update next to the app.

To check for a system update, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Settings app on your tablet.
2. Scroll down to select Device Options.
3. Scroll down to select System Updates.
4. Select Check now.
5. Select Update.

iPhones and iPads

To check for an ABCmouse app update, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the App Store on your Apple device.
2. Select your Profile icon, which is found at the top right side of the page
3. You will see an Account pop-up.
4. Scroll down to the Upcoming Automatic Updates section.
5. Select Update All or Update next to the ABCmouse app.

To check for a system update, please follow the steps below:

1. Open the Settings app on your Apple device.
2. Scroll down the side menu, and select General.
3. Select Software Update.
4. Select Download and Install.

Desktops

To check for an ABCmouse app update, please follow the steps below:

1. Select the Start menu on your computer.
2. Open Settings.
3. Select the Apps section.
4. Select Update next to the app.

To check for a system update, please follow the steps below:

1. Select the Start menu on your computer.
2. Open Settings.
3. Click on the Update & Security section.
4. Select Check for updates.
5. Select Install Now.
