ABCmouse Puzzle Overview
The many puzzles on ABCmouse are thoughtfully crafted to enhance cognitive skills, boost problem-solving abilities, and reinforce learning concepts in a fun, interactive way. Whether it’s piecing together a jigsaw or solving a tricky math puzzle, each activity is a stepping stone in your child’s educational journey.
What makes the ABCmouse puzzles truly unique is how we incorporate them into each child’s Learning Path. For example, if your child is working on learning nouns and verbs, there’s a puzzle for that. If you want to reinforce the concept of two-syllable decodable words for your child…. we have a puzzle for that!
How to Change the Difficulty of Puzzles on ABCmouse
From classic jigsaw puzzles that bring colorful scenes to life, to challenging word puzzles that will stretch children’s vocabulary, we aim to provide a puzzle that appeals to every learner. And that’s why we offer a range of difficulty options for each puzzle. So your child can find the “just right” level of challenge.
The default difficulty level for most activities, including puzzles, on ABCmouse is defined by the Learning Path level that is set for each child, so they are most likely to engage with activities that aren't too hard or too easy.
When you click to open a puzzle, you will see a Level number (most will see their Learning Path number) with a down arrow < and an up arrow > on each side. If the puzzle looks too hard or too easy right away, all you have to do is click anywhere in that Level area to change the level. (You can also have your child try whatever level is presented and then play again at a different level if it wasn't right.)
If Level 6, for example, looks like it might be too hard, click on the Level and you'll see your options, difficulty levels from 1 to 10. In this example, we are clicking Level 4 to make the puzzle easier.
Once you've picked a level, you will be asked to confirm your choice. Click Yes.
Play the Puzzle Again
Remember, after your child finishes the puzzle and gets tickets, they can click the Play Again button to play at the same level or choose another to make it harder or easier. Have fun!
