The Playlist Builder feature gives teachers the ability to guide their students' educational progress by selecting activities to build lessons that are based on the teacher’s assessment of student needs and interests.
Please note that your Teacher Section and all Teacher features are only available when using a desktop or laptop computer.

How do I create a Playlist for my students?
To create a Playlist, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Click Plan under My Lessons.
- Click the Build Playlist link to start creating a new Playlist.
- Click the Save Playlist button to save.
- You will be prompted to Name your Playlist.
- You can include a brief description, but this is not required.
- Select Save Playlist to finish.
How do I assign a Playlist for my students?
To assign a Playlist, please see the steps below:
- Your new Playlist will be visible on your Plan page.
- Click the Assign button to assign the Playlist to your students individually, by group, or by class.
How do I edit an existing Playlist?
To edit a Playlist, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Select Plan in the My Lessons panel.
- Open the My Playlists page.
- Select the blue pencil icon to edit.
- On the View Selected page, you can make any of the following changes:
- Select the activities you'd like to include by clicking on Add More.
- Use the minus icon to remove an activity.
- Organize activities to play in a preferred order by selecting the Cross Arrow.
- Finalize your choices by selecting Save Playlist at the top of the page.
Please note that students cannot be assigned the same Playlist more than once. Any updates to a Playlist can only be shared to new students.
How do I delete a Playlist?
To delete a Playlist, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Select Plan in the My Lessons panel.
- Open the My Playlists page.
- Click the blue Delete icon at the far right of a panel to remove an unwanted Playlist.
Please note that deleting a Playlist is different from unassigning a Playlist.
How do I unassign a Playlist for an individual student?
To unassign a Playlist for an individual student, please see the steps below:
- To get started, go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Select Monitor.
- At the top of the page is an Overview section, which shows a list of your students.
- Please note that each student name is a hyperlink and can be clicked on for more detailed information.
- Select the student you would like to edit.
- Select the Assignments tab at the top of their page.
- Click the Blue Arrow for the Playlist you want to remove.
- Click the Unassign button.
The Playlist in question will still appear on the Assignments page, but the status will be listed as Unassigned. Once this is done, this will also remove the Playlist from the My Lesson folder.
How do I unassign a Playlist from an entire class?
To unassign a Playlist from all assigned Student Profiles at once, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Section.
- Select Monitor.
- At the top of your Monitor page, select Assignments.
- Click the Blue Arrow for the Playlist you want to remove.
- Select the Unassign button.
The Playlist in question will still appear on the Assignments page, but the status will be listed as Unassigned. Once this is done, this will also remove the Playlist from the My Lesson folder.
What if I need to reassign a Playlist I had unassigned?
Any time a Playlist is unassigned, the button will change to a Reassign button. You can always reassign a Playlist at a later date if needed.
Please note that the Unassign feature will immediately void any progress for the specified Playlist. Any Playlist that is reassigned will require that the student complete all included activities from the beginning.
How do I use the Teach feature?
The Teach feature enables you to use Playlists and activities in presentations. Before you can use this feature, you will need to add a Playlist first.
To use the Teach feature, please see the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Select Plan in the My Lessons panel.
- Open the My Playlists page.
- You will need to switch the toggle on if you’d like your Playlist to be visible on your Teach page.
