Learn how to create a new Group within your ABCmouse Teacher Account to better organize students for instruction. This article provides step-by-step instructions for setting up Groups, adding student profiles, and managing assignments. It’s a useful tool for educators who want to differentiate learning, track progress by subgroup, or manage classroom organization more efficiently.
Groups can be built to assign Playlists to different sets of students.
Please note that your Teacher Section and all Teacher features are only available when using a desktop or laptop computer.
To create a new Group, refer to the steps below:
- Go to the Teacher Dashboard.
- Select the Manage Groups option under Classroom Tools.
- Click/tap Build Groups.
- Fill in the Group Name* box.
- My Group 1 will automatically be the title if you decided to not enter one in.
- Use the Plus icon to add students into the Added Students(0) field.
- Select Save to create the Group.
