Decodable books are books that only include spellings that the learner knows plus high-frequency words that they know. So depending on the number of spellings the learner knows, "decodable" can be a little different from child to child.
For most beginning readers, the following books are decodable because they have only regular spellings plus a few high-frequency words (with a focus on one spelling pattern, such as -an or -ug, per book). The learner should need to be taught 1-2 new words in order to read the book successfully on their own. Rereading these books is a great way to build fluency.
